The secret ingredient is Tributyrin. Tributyrin is three butyrate molecules attached to a glycerol molecule, and that glycerol backbone allows the butyrate to get to the colon where it is needed.

Butyrate is a short chain fatty acid (SCFA) produced in the colon from undigested portions of vegetables (aka fiber). SCFAs, including butyrate, are produced by friendly gut bacteria and are the main source of energy for the cells lining your colon.

Adults take 1 soft gel capsule 1-3 times daily or as directed by your healthcare practitioner.

How to Take BiomeIX (Tributyrin)

When you are supplementing with Biome IX we recommend different dosing depending on how much Tributyrin (butyrate) your body needs. If your digestive and immune system are compromised you may require more Tributyrin (butyrate) to help repair in the beginning.

Suggested Starting Dosage:

1-3 pills 💊 a day

To start, take 1 BiomeIX with food, either in the morning or evening for the first few days.
If you tolerate that dosage of butyrate you can build up to taking 2-3 pills a day spread out. BiomeIX can be taken with or without food, but in the beginning we recommend taking it before each meal.

Suggested Dosage for Advanced Disease:

4-6 pills 💊 a day

If you have an inflammatory bowel disease, autoimmune disease, or other advanced condition you may benefit from taking a higher dose for a short period of time.
You can try to work up gradually to taking 4-6 pills a day, split into 2-3 doses. This dosage should only be used for a temporary period of time and is not necessary to stay on long term.

Not everyone can tolerate a high dose of Tributyrin, so it is best to start slow and always listen to your body.

Maintenance Dosage:

1-2 pills 💊 a day

Once your condition or symptoms subside you can continue with the maintenance dose
of 1-2 pills a day. This dosage should supply your body with enough Tributyrin to maintain your overall health. If at any point your health status changes you can begin to increase your dosage again as needed.

What to Expect

When first taking the BiomeIX you may notice that your stool becomes firmer, this is a good sign. You may even experience a few detox symptoms as your microbiome is worked over and the tributyrin begins killing off pathogenic bacteria. If you are vegan, eat a whole, plant-based diet with organic fruits and veggies, nuts, and seeds. If you are paleo, still eat a mostly whole, plant-based diet with organic veggies, and organic clean protein. Keep away from inflammatory foods like gluten, dairy, and soy while you are healing.

Focus on Fiber 🌱

As previously stated, fiber makes butyrate, and butyrate thrives in a high fiber diet.
Focus on getting in a variety of soluble and insoluble fiber, as well as resistant starches. You don't have to count your protein, trust me you're getting enough. Instead, count your fiber!

Don't 🚫 Drink Water 💦 With Your Food

If you want a way to improve your digestion immediately, it would be following this rule.
Don't drink water with your food, and for up to an hour afterwards. When you drink any liquid with your food, you deplete your enzyme production and your food will not digest as well. Take little sips if needed, but no big gulps!
